Strategic Research & Innovation Agenda for Ocean Energy

ETIP Ocean, led by Tecnalia, has produced a new Strategic Research & Innovation Agenda (SRIA) that identifies the research and innovation priorities for the years ahead, guiding policymakers on the best ways to support ocean energy’s development.
The SRIA highlights the system integration of ocean energy pilot farms and the need for demonstration projects to run over longer periods as key priorities for these technologies. It also calls for improvements in sub-systems, marine operations, foundations and connections, in order to increase yields and reduce costs.
The SRIA is the result of a sector-wide consultation and contribution of the ETIP Ocean Steering Committee and Technology Working Group.
