Knowledge sharing and collaboration helps avoid duplication and drives innovation in a more efficient manner than working in silos. For ocean energy, this is true for collaboration within the sector itself, but also for collaboration with other industries, particularly those working offshore. These processes can however be challenging to stimulate.
At the webinar speakers representing a technology developer (AW Energy), a marine test site (EMEC) and free to use marine monitoring service (Mercator Ocean / Copernicus) presented their views on the advantages and challenges of knowledge sharing, and how it can best be facilitated.
