ETIP Ocean Technology Working Group meeting

ETIP Ocean has started the work to update the sector’s Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA). To support the prioritisation of key research, development and innovation topics, a Technology Working Group (TWG) consisting of industry, research, test site and supply chain representatives has been set up. Over the next few months, the TWG will help prioritise the topics that will accelerate the development of ocean energy the most in the coming years.

The results of the prioritisation will be fed into the design process of the next Horizon Europe Work Programme and other national & regional programmes, and further developed to form the updated SRIA. The work is led by the University of Edinburgh and Tecnalia.

In the first meeting of the TWG, University of Edinburgh presented an analysis on the progress towards the current SRIA.
